“We start advertising in late January for the March event. Last year we had about 350 participants who raised $20,000. This year our goal is to have 450 participants with a goal of $30,000 raised.”
“Honestly, I think this is a great event because it's a community thing. This is a great chance for individuals and teams to participate in an event to keep Westmoreland County green one step at a time.”
“Everyone must follow the (Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission) laws. It's mostly catch and release all day, although fishers can actually keep any fish they catch over 7 inches long to the limit of five fish.”
“This event really makes good use of the county parks. This is very family-oriented. We encourage people to bring out the whole family to enjoy the day in the park.”
