“The Sisters had everything set up with enough supplies for months. There was plenty of food, water, paper goods and so forth. We had everything we needed, so we felt safe staying there.”
“When we came up the road, people were on both sides waving, clapping and crying. We were so well-received. I can't describe how beautiful the volunteers were ~ there's not enough I can say about those people.”
“There were about 3,000 people there, including firemen, policemen, nurses and pharmacists. Some of them broke into the University and got medical supplies. They set up a triage unit, and were able to keep the peace intact. We didn't experience the lawlessness they saw in other areas.”
